In women, symptoms include lower abdominal pain, bleeding after sex, bleeding in between periods, unusual vaginal discharge and pain when passing urine.
In men, symptoms include discharge from the penis and pain when passing urine. Symptoms usually occur one to three weeks after getting infected. However, about seven in 10 women and half of men with the infection don't have any symptoms.

Individual tests for chlamydia are available from £80 (excluding the cost of the appointment, available from £60), however it may be advisable that full sexual health profile is carried out to screen for other areas of concern.
Our partner labratory return the results to us and you can either phone to ask them or have them sent to you. The turn around time varies on the tests being carried out but generally it is only a few days.
