Is Labiaplasty right for me?

Labiaplasty, also known as labia reduction, is becoming an increasingly popular procedure for women who are concerned about the shape and size of their labia. Labiaplasty surgery can reshape and reduce the size and prominence of your labia.

The labia are the folders of skin around your vagina. There are two areas: the labia majora (outer lips) and the labia minora (inner lips).

There are many reasons for an enlarged labia including childbirth, aging, sexual activity and genetics. You may choose to undergo labiaplasty to improve the appearance or size of your labia, increase confidence and self-esteem, reduce discomfort in sexual intercourse and exercise and lastly to reduce the discomfort and visibility of the labia when wearing tight clothing and underwear.

Labiaplasty is a delicate and very personal surgery, at Pall Mall we do everything we can to make sure you are comfortable and well-informed about the procedure and recovery process. One of our Patient Co-ordinators will be with you throughout your journey and will be on hand to answer all of your questions, no matter how personal.

The surgery usually takes between 60 and 75 minutes and is performed under general anaesthetic at our private hospital in Newton-le-Willows. Recovery time for this procedure is different for each patient but generally we say most patients can go back to work after a couple of days recovery.

Our Consultant Gynaecologists have performed thousands of labiaplasty procedures and will recommend the best approach to achieve your desired result.
