Dr Nawaz is an experienced NHS Consultant Paediatrician, Children’s Doctor, with over 20 years’ experience of working in partnership with parents taking care of children.
Born and bred up in Yorkshire, he graduated from Manchester Medical School. He has previously worked at the University Hospital South Manchester (Wythenshawe) as a busy Hospital Consultant Paediatrician for 10 years including 3 years as a Clinical Director developing paediatric and neonatal services. This included 10 years as Named Doctor Safeguarding (Child Protection) and Undergraduate Tutor. In 2013 he took up his present post as a Consultant in Community Paediatrics in Trafford focusing on developmental and behavioural problems including ADHD, Autism, Looked After Children and the health of young asylum seekers.
Dr Nawaz can offer expert medical advice on all aspects of your child's health, development and general wellbeing. This includes a general health review like an 'MOT'.
Dr Nawaz has a wealth of experience in managing common child health problems such as Asthma, Urine Infections, Headaches and Tummy Aches, Food Intolerance/Allergy, Growth problems and concerns regarding Development and Behaviour. He has a specific interest and expertise in ADHD, Sleep Problems, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME), Eating Disorders, Stomach and Bowel Problems including Reflux and Constipation.
All Dr Nawaz’s appointments are 45 minutes to ensure a thorough review of parent’s concerns and assessment.
Dr Nawaz also accepts instructions from solicitors regarding medico-legal work.
