What can a private physiotherapist help with?

Physiotherapy can help in a wide range of areas including muscle, back and joint pain and problems with the nervous system.

Back pain is a common problem and physiotherapy can help with prolapsed discs, sciatica, lower back pain (including spondylosis) and osteoarthritis.

Common sports injuries  such as rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, tennis (or golfer's) elbow and recovery from a dislocated shoulder can all be treated with physiotherapy sessions.

Joints, for example, wrists, knees and ankles, may also benefit, to avoid any long term damage in ligaments or muscles.

Physiotherapy can help with many injuries and pain problems, especially in sports medicine. If further diagnosis is required, our specialist diagnostic and surgical centre in Newton-le-Willows is equipped with X-Ray, CT and MRI scanners for further detailed analysis. We can also refer you to specialist orthopaedic consultants for more serious injuries and long-term conditions.
