Extended GP Appointments

Extended GP Appointments

Book your appointment

During an extended GP appointment with one of Pall Mall Medical’s doctors, you will have up to an hour to discuss your health issues. You can also speak to our experienced GPs about you and your family’s medical history and undergo various health assessments without feeling rushed.

You'll be able to discuss in detail about any past conditions, get a second opinion on a health issue and have a relaxed conversation with one of our GPs, taking all the time you need to.

If any tests are required, they can also be arranged within your appointment. The results are then made available quickly meaning you don't have to wait a long time to get the information you need.

You can see a private doctor at our locations in Manchester, Liverpool or Newton-le-Willows at a time to suit you.

Pall Mall Medical’s extended doctor appointments are great for:

  • Discussing a number of issues in one appointment.
  • Being able to discuss your health in great detail, including any treatment or referral options.
  • Discussing your health with a professional at length without feeling time pressured.

Frequently asked questions about extended gp appointments

I have already had a diagnosis from my GP but would like a second opinion – can your GPs do this?

Yes, if you would like a second opinion on an existing diagnosis then our GPs can provide this. In some cases, you may be referred for further tests to obtain a full diagnosis.

To book a second opinion at Pall Mall Medical contact us at gp@pallmallmedical.co.uk and ask for an extended appointment with one of our experienced GPs.

How often should I have a full medical?

During a medical, a doctor will assess your general health by asking you questions, reviewing your and your family’s past medical history and performing a physical examination. A medical is a proactive way to spot any potential health concerns early and is also an opportunity to review your existing health concerns and any medication you are currently taking. It’s recommended that you have a medical every other year if you are fit and healthy and that this should be increased to annually if you are over 50 or if you have any long term health problems.
