Vasectomy Reversal
When you had your vasectomy procedure, the tubes (vasa deferentia) that carry sperm from the testicles to the penis were cut. The operation re-joins these tubes to increase your chances of being able to father a child. As a vasectomy reversal is an invasive procedure, you will usually be put under anaesthetic for the surgery but in most cases, the operation is performed as a day case so you will be able to go home the same day.
Why would you have a vasectomy reversal?
If your personal circumstances have changed, you might be looking for the opportunity to father a child again. Wider industry success rates currently stand around 55%, but our consultant surgeon Mr Vijay Sangar uses a ‘loupes assisted’ vasectomy reversal technique that allows for better surgical precision, offering a success rate of 96%.
