Vestibular Function Test

Dizziness Test (Vestibular Function Test)

Book your appointment

The ear plays a key part in causing dizziness, as over 85% of dizziness is caused by issues with the ear.

The ears, combined with vision, muscles, and touch help you to maintain your balance. Misleading information from any of these areas can cause a patient to be dizzy or off balance. A vestibular and balance assessment is designed to identify the weakest part or parts of the system so that correction can follow.

Audiologists specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of patients suffering from issues with their ears and can help people suffering with dizziness.

A vestibular assessment takes around two hours to complete and may include several tests including hearing tests, balance function tests, brainstem response evaluation and tests for dizziness.
