What is a private ovarian cancer screening?

What is the CA 125 blood test?
The CA 125 test measures the level of a protein in your blood. Raised levels may indicate the presence of ovarian cancer, but can also be caused by other conditions, so results should always be discussed with a clinician.
What is the HE4 test, and how is it different from CA 125?
HE4 is a newer marker that is over-expressed in patients with ovarian cancer, and the test is not currently available on the NHS. When combined with CA 125, it can significantly improve the sensitivity of detection.
What is the ROMA test?
ROMA stands for Risk of Ovarian Malignancy Algorithm. It uses your CA 125 and HE4 results to classify you as being at high or low risk of malignant disease.
