Our expert team are always hand to help, advise and arrange appointments with our specialist consultants.

How much can I borrow?

You can borrow between £350 and £25,000, subject to status. You must be at least 18 to apply, and you must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.

Will I be accepted for credit?
There are certain criteria you must meet in order to be accepted:
  • You are aged 18 or over
  • You are employed at least 16 hours per week
  • You have a good credit history with no late payments, debt relief orders, County Court Judgments (CCJs), Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs) or bankruptcies
  • You are a permanent UK resident
  • You are able to supply a UK address history for the last 3 years
  • You are not a student (unless employed at least 16 hours per week) or unemployed single house person

We welcome applications from individuals who are retired, in receipt of a private or company pension (aged 50 or over at date of application).

Decisions are made based on credit history available from credit bureaus, as well as using public registers such as the electoral roll.

Please note, meeting the above criteria does not guarantee finance acceptance.

How long does the application take?

The application itself only takes a few minutes and is completed online. As the application process is online, once you’ve submitted your application, you should find out within seconds if you’ve been approved, or “referred”.

If you do get referred, this could just mean that the lender needs a bit more information from you, Chrysalis will be in touch to talk about information needed.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

A minimum deposit of £500 is required. When using 0% finance, your deposit must be at least 35% and no more than 50% of the total cost. You can choose to pay more than the minimum required deposit to lower your monthly payments.

What happens after I’ve been approved?
If you’ve been approved, you are then required to pay the deposit – this is done by debit/credit card.

Pall Mall Medical will get an instant notification and will contact you shortly after this with details on the next steps for the service you have booked.

What if my application gets declined?

We are unable to comment on individual applications as the lender may not give us a reason for the decline. Often, applications are declined because incorrect information is given. If you believe this to be the case, please ensure your address history and all other information is entered accurately.

If you have paid a deposit, this will be refunded to you.

You are able to ask someone else to make an application on your behalf. If you wish to do this, please see the information here.

How do I make payments?

The monthly payments are collected by Direct Debit, starting one month after you sign the credit agreement, and are subject the usual guarantee from your bank.

When can I book in for surgery?

You can choose to book your surgery date either before or after applying for finance.

If you book before applying, a separate deposit will be required, paid directly to Pall Mall, and will count toward your total treatment cost.

Please note: your surgery must be scheduled at least 14 days after your finance agreement has been approved and signed. If you choose a date within this 14-day cooling-off period, you may need to self-fund the procedure.

Who should I contact if I have questions about my payments & finance agreement?

For all payment and queries regarding your finance agreement, please call Chrysalis Customer Services - 0333 323 2230

Are there any hidden costs?
There are no hidden costs.

The Pall Mall Medical team can provide you with full information of what you will be required to pay if you are unsure.

What if I need to cancel/rearrange my appointment?
Refunds & Cancellations - Terms and conditions

If you do not attend your appointment or need to reschedule within 48 working hours before the appointment, we may not be able to refund the whole amount to you. This will depend on the specific service. One of our team at Pall Mall will be able to provide you with more information if you require this.

Please read our cancellation policy.

What if I decide that I don’t want the finance?

There is a statutory ‘cooling off’ period of 14 days after signature during which you can cancel the credit agreement with no cost to you. However, if you have started any treatment which would have been financed, you will have to make other arrangements to pay for it.

Who provides the finance?

Finance is arranged through Chrysalis Finance Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority to carry out the regulated activity of credit broking under Firm Reference Number 631193.

How much disposable income should I have such that the monthly payments are considered affordable?

A common rule of thumb is that your total monthly payments, including the proposed loan, should not exceed 20-30% of your disposable income. This range provides a buffer for essential living expenses and unexpected costs.

How much can I borrow?

You can borrow between £350 and £25,000, subject to status. You must be 18 or over to apply, and you must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.

Pall Mall has an affordability tool which your Coordinator can go through with you.

If I am in the unfortunate situation where my finance is declined, what options are available to me?

In the unfortunate situation where your finance is declined, there are several other options available to you:

a) Appeal the decision. Often our lending partner can re-check and re-process your application. They may have factors that they can change to increase acceptance. E.g. can the deposit or term be adjusted to lower the monthly payment and hence increase the affordability?

b) For other options – see our suggested alternative options below.

Am I able to appeal the decision if I get declined for finance?

Yes - our lending partner has the ability to reassess and re-evaluate your application. There might be variables that they can modify to enhance the likelihood of approval.

If my finance is declined via Pall Mall, am I likely to get accepted through another provider?

Approval rates for cosmetic surgery financing are rarely different when applying through another provider. Chrysallis, the lender that Pall Mall uses, is the exclusive prime cosmetic surgery finance provider in the UK. Chrysallis have a strict approval process and only work with cosmetic surgery providers who meet their standards: company stability, longevity, no history of liquidation. Some competitors may not meet these criteria, leading them to utilize sub-prime lenders with higher APRs (e.g., Kandoo, Loans Warehouse, 121 Finance). Whilst you may be approved by another provider - you should check if they use a sub-prime lender as the APRs are on a sliding scale and may range from 5% to as high as 45%.

Can a friend or relative apply for finance on my behalf?

Yes – you should agree repayment terms with a trusted friend or relative. Pall Mall cannot be held liable for any disputes between you and another party as our contract is solely with the patient.

If I want to get finance through an external provider, am I able to do so?

Yes – we have a few suggestion options below.

If you want to find finance from another source, I.e. a personal credit card or bank loan, we recommend:

    1. Compare the Market - https://credit-cards-eligibility.comparethemarket.com/
    2. ClearScore - https://www.clearscore.com/credit-cards
    3. Tesco Personal Loan - https://www.tescobank.com/loans/loan-calculator/?goto=section-4
    4. Finder.com - https://www.finder.com/uk/cosmetic-surgery-loans
What is the difference between prime and sub-prime lending?

Prime lending is for borrowers with good credit, offering lower interest rates and favourable terms

Subprime lending is for “higher risk” borrowers who, likely are not approved by prime lenders. Subprime lenders typically offer higher interest rates and less favourable terms
