Pall Mall Medical - for all your private healthcare needs, whether you are self-paying or have private medical insurance.
Approximately one person is diagnosed with breast cancer every ten minutes in the UK*. Many cases of breast cancer can be treated successfully if they are detected early enough. Breast cancer screening is one of the main ways to detect cancer early and at Pall Mall Medical, our experts offer a range of screening options and treatment options if cancer is diagnosed.
The services we offer at Pall Mall Medical include breast ultrasounds, mammograms, and breast cancer diagnosis.
The below pathway may be helpful to you so that you can determine which option is the best for you. This pathway has been created by our Consultant General and Breast Surgeon, Ms Anjana Satpathy.
If you have any of the above symptoms or if you have medical history of breast cancer, you should follow the below pathway:

If you do not have any symptoms or a family history of breast cancer, and you are looking for Breast Screening, you should follow the pathway below:

Ultrasounds of the breasts are used to provide information which may not be picked up on a mammogram or to double check abnormal results from a mammogram. A breast ultrasound can also be used to diagnose and monitor non-cancerous cysts.
During a mammogram, an X-Ray is used to take images of the breast to detect cancer. Mammograms are available on the NHS to women over the age of 47 every three years. If you are under this age or if you would like a mammogram outside if your scheduled screening then they are available privately through Pall Mall Medical.
For patients over 35 years old, mammograms can be repeated every 2-3 years for screening and annually if there is a family history.
