Dr Suman Paul

Dr Suman Paul is a highly experienced Consultant Respiratory Physician at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he leads the COPD services. With over a decade of specialist expertise in respiratory medicine, he is dedicated to helping patients breathe easier and live fuller lives.

Dr Paul specialises in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for respiratory conditions, including bronchoscopy and EBUS bronchoscopy, and has performed hundreds of these minimally invasive interventions. His approach combines technical precision with a focus on patient comfort and clear, compassionate communication.

Trained in both India and the UK, Dr Paul completed his MBBS at Medical College, Kolkata, specialist respiratory training in North-West England, and an advanced interventional pulmonology fellowship in Italy. He also holds the European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine, is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK), and is a published author in peer-reviewed medical journals.
