Core Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Hospital Housekeeper (Bank) to join our healthcare facility’s cleaning team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff, visitors and contractors. Your efforts will directly contribute to infection control, patient safety and overall hospital hygiene standards.
Duties include:

  • Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, corridors, operating theatres, restrooms and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
  • Ensure all surfaces are sanitised according to hospital protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
  • Dispose of waste safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Restock supplies such as hand sanitisers, paper towels and cleaning materials in designated areas.
  • Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
  • Follow strict health and safety guidelines during all cleaning procedures to protect yourself and others.
  • Support special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisory staff.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable.
  • Previous hospital or healthcare environment experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with infection control procedures and sanitation standards is a plus.
  • Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
