Simply put, male chest reduction is cosmetic breast surgery. At least 30% of adult men will be affected by gynecomastia (the overdevelopment of breast tissue) in their lifetime. More commonly referred to as 'man boobs', they occur due to an excessive buildup of tissue around the chest area, causing the appearance of breasts.
The excess tissue can vary in size, with some men finding it just occurs in one breast, which is completely normal. The goal of surgery is to remove excess breast tissue - either fatty tissue or glandular tissue - to leave men with a more defined, flatter and sculpted chest appearance.
Depending on the reasoning for your gynaecomastia surgery, you could also have some excess skin removed to enhance the chiselled appearance of your chest.
