Anthony, aged 34, from Liverpool visited Pall Mall for Open Septorhinoplasty surgery earlier this year. He’s best known for his 20-year-long career as a professional boxer as well as being an Olympian and Commonwealth Games gold medalist.

After dedicating 20 years to professional boxing, Olympic athlete and Commonwealth Games gold medalist Anthony Fowler had endured his fair share of battle scars - his nose being one of the most affected. Years of intense training and competition had left his septum severely damaged, making it increasingly difficult for him to breathe.
Anthony explained: “My nose is really damaged now, it’s basically collapsed. The cartilage isn’t there anymore, and I’ve struggled to breathe for years. Even my girlfriend keeps telling me how loud my breathing is when I’m in quiet places!”
What started as an inconvenience gradually became a more serious concern. Beyond the cosmetic aspect, Anthony’s restricted airflow was affecting his everyday life, including his training and recovery. After hearing glowing recommendations from his friend Kerry Katona, he decided to visit Pall Mall to finally correct his nose.
Consultation with Professor Raghavan
Anthony was introduced to one of Pall Mall’s leading specialist Septorhinoplasty surgeons, Professor Raghavan, who assessed the damage to his nose and carefully explained the best course of action.

The consultation was brilliant, Professor Raghavan was very thorough, and everything was explained properly. The team were also polite, welcoming, and reassuring, which made the whole process much easier.”
During his consultation, Anthony was shown 2D simulations of his expected results in comparison to his current nose, which allowed him to visualise how his nose could look post-surgery. Seeing the potential outcome, he joked:
"That looks better than me - more handsome, even! Even more handsome than what I am now."
Beyond aesthetics, the priority was to restore function to Anthony’s nose, helping him breathe properly again.
