Vaser Liposuction Before & After

What are the benefits of Vaser Liposuction?
There are multiple advantages to opting for Vaser Liposuction, especially when you see the before and after results. However, it is important to note that while Vaser Lipo is an advanced liposuction technique, it is not a weight loss solution.
If you do decide to undertake this fat removal surgery, it should be used in combination with healthy daily activities, such as a regular exercise routine and a balanced diet.
Remove stubborn fat from targeted areas
We all have areas of our bodies that we’d like to change, such as the appearance of cellulite, belly fat, or a double chin. Vaser Lipo is an effective way to target and remove fat from these specific areas, helping you achieve your desired shape.
Less invasive than traditional lipo
As Vaser Liposuction does not use forceful suction in the fat removal process, the surgery is far less invasive than traditional methods. This means the potential risks involved - such as blood loss or damage to other body tissues - are small.
Faster recovery time
Due to the less invasive fat removal procedure, the healing process for Vaser Lipo results in minimal downtime. Of course, recovery time varies person to person, but typically the recovery period is around 4-6 weeks in total.
Minimal side effects
As with any cosmetic surgery, there is the potential for side effects. However, with Vaser Liposuction, the side effects are minimal, especially when compared to traditional liposuction procedures.
Target multiple specific areas
One of the main benefits of Vaser Liposuction is the fact you can target a higher amount of fatty tissue within a single procedure. This way of working avoids essential tissues, like nerves and blood vessels, which aids the recovery process. Plus, you can target multiple areas of the body in one session of Vaser Liposuction.
Stimulates collagen production
The ultrasonic energy used in Vaser Liposuction can tighten your skin consistency and stimulate collagen production. These byproducts of the procedure can further enhance a contoured appearance.
Minimal pain
Due to the ultrasonic energy and thin cannula used to remove the fat cells, Vaser Lipo is a fast, low-pain solution to any body issues you may be struggling with.
No general anaesthetic needed
Vaser Liposuction requires no general anaesthetic to perform the procedure. However, you will likely be placed into a 'conscious sedation' with a local anaesthetic solution to reduce any potential pain you may feel.
Day case procedure
Vaser Liposuction typically doesn't require an overnight hospital stay because the recovery is generally faster than other procedures. This is thanks to the less invasive techniques used during the surgery.
Reduced scarring
The smaller size of the cannula used in Vaser Liposuction results in very minimal scarring, especially when compared to more invasive surgeries like a Tummy Tuck.

Stories Behind The Surgery
"I decided to have Vaser Lipo as I worked out (even though you wouldn’t think it) My stomach was hard - just pure fat. I knew a tummy tuck was mainly for skin and I didn’t have excess skin so I thought this could be an option.
I originally booked in to have the work in Turkey. But I read a few things and my mind ran away with me. But I knew I needed something to help get me out of this rut. So my husband read some reviews on Pall Mall and explained how I felt to the team.
They spoke to me and allowed me to process everything! I went from getting excited to surgery in turkey, to 'I couldn’t bring myself to do it', to then feeling I’ll always be stuck in the body I didn't like, to then trusting my husband and the team and going with Pall Mall!"

What’s the difference between Vaser Liposuction and traditional Liposuction?
While both traditional Liposuction and Vaser Liposuction use a cannula to remove fat, their approaches differ significantly. Vaser Liposuction uses modern technology that offers key advantages, making it a safer and less invasive option, especially for targeting smaller, stubborn areas of fat. The key differences are:
Method of fat removal
- Traditional liposuction: Fat is manually removed by the movement of the cannula.
Vaser Liposuction: Ultrasonic energy liquefies fat before extraction, minimising tissue damage.
Invasiveness and safety
- Traditional: Involves more physical disruption of fat and surrounding tissues.
Vaser: Less invasive, reducing damage to surrounding tissue and lowering the risk of complications.
Recovery time
Traditional: Longer recovery due to tissue trauma.
Vaser: Faster recovery, with some patients returning home the same day.
Results
Traditional: Effective for larger fat removal, often combined with a Tummy Tuck.
Vaser: Ideal for body contouring, with skin-tightening benefits and better results for smaller areas of fat.
Best suited for
Traditional: Larger fat removal, often part of major weight-loss transformations.
Vaser: Ideal for those who are fit but want to address specific stubborn fat areas.
| Feature | VASER Liposuction | Traditional Liposuction |

What is RENUVION® Skin Tightening?
Vaser Liposuction is the most advanced body-sculpting treatment available, but it doesn’t always address the issue of loose skin, which can become more apparent with age or significant weight loss.
RENUVION® is known for being one of the best skin tightening treatments, specifically targeting multiple areas of the body, including the stomach and neck.
RENUVION® uses a combination of cold plasma energy and radiofrequency to tighten the skin from the inside out. The treatment is performed beneath the skin, and the device is inserted through the same opening used for Vaser Liposuction, resulting in firmer skin.
What are the Benefits of RENUVION® and Vaser Liposuction together?
Both Vaser Liposuction and RENUVION® are less invasive than traditional liposuction, resulting in minimal scarring for patients. Mr. Dewing has achieved remarkable results by combining these advanced techniques. During your free consultation, he will discuss your desired outcome, assess your individual case, and recommend the most suitable procedure for you. Stories Behind The Surgery
"I’m 41 years old, mother of 2 that had 2 caesarean sections and other surgeries on my stomach. So although I am a healthy weight, my stomach was not as toned as I would have liked. I struggled to ‘fix’ this with diet and exercise alone. I thought I would need a tummy tuck but upon talking to a couple of Pall Mall consultants they both agreed that I would be a good candidate for VASER liposuction and Renuvion for skin tightening.
Pre surgery I was extremely conscious of my stomach as it stuck out slightly which I tried to hide with shapewear etc to disguise.
Now that it’s done, I am so much more confident and able to wear clothes that I like without having to hide my stomach! "

Your pre-op assessment
If you decide to go through with the surgery, we will expect you to attend a pre-op assessment at our private hospital in Newton-Le-Willows or Liverpool and Manchester clinics.
During your appointment, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your medical history, current medications, and any allergies. It's important to be completely honest about any health concerns so we can ensure your experience with us is as smooth as possible.
Post-surgery
Your Vaser Liposuction surgery will take place at our private hospital in Newton-le-Willows. Our state-of-the-art facilities ensure you get an outstanding service and highest level of care. You do not need to be sedated (put to sleep under general anaesthetic) for Vaser Liposuction - instead, you will have some local anaesthetic to make sure you cannot feel any pain.
The length of your procedure time is dependent on how many areas of the body you are treating within the single surgery - for example, your tummy and thighs. If you are interested in removing fat from various places of your body, you should inform your surgeon of this at your initial consultation to discuss what options are available.
Our friendly ward nurses will regularly check on you to ensure you are feeling okay throughout your time in our hospital.
Postoperative Care
As your Vaser Lipo surgery is done without general anaesthetic, you will be on day release so you will be able to go home the very same day. Of course, this is dependent on your medical history and how many areas of the body you decide to treat.
Once the local anaesthetic has worn off, you may start to feel some discomfort. If this is the case, our team will provide you with some painkillers to help any soreness to subside.
Your wellbeing is our top priority, so if there's anything we can do to make your experience more comfortable, just let us know. Our dedicated team is always happy to help.
Aftercare
Once at home, make sure to keep your feet up and rest. After your surgery, you will be in your compression garments for six weeks until you are fully recovered. However, any pain or swelling should subside after 2-3 weeks, which will allow you to see your true results.
At Pall Mall, we’re committed to your care. If you have any questions or concerns, our team of experts is available to support you for up to two years after your procedure.

Frequently Asked Questions.
Our expert team is always available to assist you - if you have questions about Vaser Liposuction, we’re here to help. You can also find answers to some of the most common questions about Vaser Liposuction below.
What is Vaser Liposuction surgery?
The term Vaser stands for ‘vibration amplification of sound energy on resonance’. A specially designed liposuction cannula is inserted into the area before ultrasonic wavelengths vibrate into the skin to melt down and drain the deep layers of stubborn fat without harming any surrounding nerves, collagen or blood vessels.
Is Vaser Liposuction surgery right for me?
The surgery is ideal for patients who are:
Within 30% of their ideal weight
Generally healthy and able to stick to a balanced diet and exercise routine but may be struggling to shift pockets of fat from specific areas
Non-smoker or agreeable to refrain from smoking until the indicated time frame before and after surgery
How long does Vaser Liposuction surgery take?
Vaser Liposuction takes between 1-2 hours using local anaesthesia. It is usually a day case, so you can go home the same day as your surgery.
How long will it take for me to recover after Vaser Liposuction?
You can typically return to work and engage in light exercise within 1-2 weeks. Full recovery may take up to 4-6 weeks.
What happens after Vaser Liposuction surgery?
Your surgeon will provide you with a compression garment, which you will need to wear for about six weeks to support your recovery.
Vaser Liposuction vs Tummy Tuck
Fat can build up in many areas of the body, and while a traditional Tummy Tuck focuses solely on the abdomen, Vaser Liposuction can target multiple regions with precision. When combined with RENUVION®, it also helps tighten and firm the skin, further enhancing contours. This makes it a versatile option for patients seeking a more defined appearance in specific areas.
Unlike more invasive procedures such as a full Abdominoplasty, Vaser Liposuction offers a less aggressive approach to fat removal. Patients often benefit from a quicker recovery, reduced downtime, and results that look natural and refined.
If you’ve been considering treatments like a Tummy Tuck, Arm Lift, or Male Chest Reduction, Vaser Liposuction may provide a more comprehensive solution depending on your goals.

What is lipoedema and how is it different from regular fat?
Lipoedema is a long-term condition where fat builds up disproportionately, usually in the legs and sometimes the arms. Unlike normal fat, it cannot be reduced with diet or exercise, often causes discomfort, tenderness, and bruising and is distinct from obesity or cellulite.
How does liposuction help with lipoedema?
Specialist liposuction for lipoedema is designed to remove the abnormal fat deposits safely while protecting lymphatic tissue. This can relieve pain, improve mobility, and restore more natural leg and arm contours. It is considered a therapeutic, rather than purely cosmetic, procedure.
Is lipoedema liposuction a cure?
Liposuction does not cure lipoedema. However, it can significantly improve symptoms, reduce discomfort, and decrease dependence on compression garments. Many patients experience improved quality of life and long-term benefits when combined with ongoing management.
Who is suitable for lipedema liposuction?
Candidates generally include women who:
- Have a confirmed diagnosis of lipoedema
- Experience pain, swelling, or mobility challenges
- Have tried conservative treatments without sufficient relief
A specialist consultation is essential to determine if liposuction is the most appropriate treatment based on the severity and stage of lipedema.
