After previously undergoing Tummy Tuck and Endoscopic Brow Lift surgery in January 2022, Tanya reached out again as she wanted to discuss the possibility of a Face Lift.
Tanya had concerns with excess skin around her mid face area that made her look as though her cheeks had significantly dropped causing her face to droop, which made her feel as though she was showing signs of aging quicker than she’d hoped.
Speaking about her concerns, Tanya explained: “I am in the perimenopause and my face was starting to look tired.”

She met with Consultant Maxillofacial and Cosmetic Facial Plastic Surgeon, Mr Rao, at our privately in Newton-le-Willows, located between Manchester and Liverpool. At the consultation Tanya discussed her concerns in detail before Mr Rao provided his expert opinion on what type of face lift would best suit Tanya’s cosmetic surgery goals.
Tanya said: “Mr Rao gave me three different options based on my concerns, and we decided the middle one was best, which is the MACS Mid Face Lift which is very minimal scarring because I was scared about that and the procedure involves sewing back the muscles to when I was young and that's all I want!”

Tanya’s surgery results
Following her surgery in November 2024, Tanya is over the moon with her results. She exclaimed: “Following my MACS Mid Face Lift I look in the mirror and I just feel fresher, it’s boosted my mood and I’m over the moon with the results!”
She noted that her recovery was smooth sailing, and she was back to her normal routine in a couple of weeks. It’s important to remember that every patient’s recovery is completely dependent on the patient and this can vary.
Tanya prioritised her recovery, ensuring she had lots of rest, stayed hydrated and ensure she followed the surgeon’s post-surgery instructions.
Tanya said: “I was really worried about my results because of my skin tone and regeneration. I don’t scar very well but honestly you can’t even see the scars. My results are literally amazing!”

Why do you feel it’s important for people to talk openly about their cosmetic surgery procedure?
"I think it’s important to talk openly about any cosmetic surgery I’ve had done, particularly being in the public eye. I think if you are unhappy and want to change something to make you feel better then you absolutely should have a look into what options are available to you."

"I thought my recovery was going to be a lost worse than what it was. Thankfully I was back to my normal routine within a couple of weeks. There was a lot swelling, which I expected and was made aware at my consultation, but it soon subsided."
