Book your appointment

If you’re considering a blepharoplasty procedure to create a smoother area around your eyes, book a consultation at Pall Mall Medical at our Manchester or Liverpool clinic or at our private diagnostic and surgical centre in Newton-le-Willows to discuss your options with a cosmetic surgeon.

Please see below for full information on our finance options.

What is blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty (commonly known as eyelid surgery) is a procedure that removes excess facial skin, fat and muscle on upper and/or lower eyelids.

It is commonly done for cosmetic reasons, but it is also sometimes carried out to improve vision if excess skin folds have interfered with normal sight.

The operation is usually done as a day-case surgery, meaning no overnight stay is required, under general anaesthetic, and will take around 1-2 hours to perform - depending on whether you choose to have the upper or lower eyelids done or both. The surgeon will make cuts into the natural lines and creases around your eyes to minimise the appearance of scars.

Why would you have eyelid surgery?

As eyelid skin is the thinnest skin on your face, it is likely to be the first facial feature to reveal signs of ageing. Bulges or bags in the lower eyelid, excess skin overhanging your eyes, wrinkles… these can all make you look tired, prematurely old, and even a little bit sad. Surgery can create a smoother area around your eyes, helping to give you a more youthful look.

How can Pall Mall Medical help?

The NHS does not commonly carry out blepharoplasty procedures unless a patient has ongoing vision problems. For this reason, many people like you choose to have the procedure done at a private healthcare clinic like Pall Mall Medical instead.

When you come to Pall Mall Medical, you’ll first have a consultation with the surgeon who will later carry out the procedure once you decide to go ahead with it. During your consultation, you’ll be able to discuss the look you want to achieve, as well as the results you can realistically expect by having it done.

Call us today to book your consultation with one of our plastic surgeons or facial cosmetic surgeons. All procedures are performed at Newton-le-Willows and are done under general anaesthetic.

We also carry out blepharoplasty combined with MACS facelift, visit our facelift page for more details and pricing.

Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) prices

Each patient is unique - different expectations and as such different requirements. We don't apply a "one size fits all" approach to cosmetic surgery, and as such the price of the surgery will depend on the exact requirements of your individual procedure. We have included an expected price range below, but really - we'd love to meet with you first to gain a better understanding of what you are looking for and what we can do to help you achieve the desired outcome.

The first step, should be to book in for a free of charge initial consultation - see the Consultant, so that you can discuss your hopes and expectations. Once the consultant has had a conversation with you, a member of our team will be in touch to provide you with a full quote. This quote will include everything - pre-op, surgery itself, post-op and aftercare.
