Rachel Lugo’s Preservation Facelift Journey: A New Chapter at 50

Turning 50 marked a new chapter for The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Rachel Lugo and she decided there was no better time to treat herself.

After considering facial rejuvenation, Rachel chose to undergo a combined Preservation Deep Plane Face and necklift with lateral Brow Lift and fat transfer, performed by Professor Raghavan at Pall Mall Cosmetics.

For Rachel, the decision wasn’t about changing the way she looked. Instead, it was about feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and confident while still looking like herself.

Why Rachel chose a Preservation Facelift

Rachel opted for the Preservation Facelift technique because of its less invasive approach and the focus on preserving the natural structures of the face.

Combined with her brow and neck lift, as well as fat transfer, the treatment was designed to create a refreshed and harmonious result while maintaining Rachel’s natural features.

As someone who is regularly in the public eye, Rachel wanted a result that felt authentic to her - refreshed rather than overdone.

A surprisingly comfortable recovery

One of the things that has surprised Rachel most about her journey has been her recovery in the first few days.

Despite undergoing multiple procedures, Rachel has shared that she hasn’t even needed a painkiller following her surgery "I can't believe it, I've not felt any pain at all and not needed a single painkiller!"

Everyone’s recovery is different, and Professor Raghavan and the Pall Mall team provided personalised aftercare and support throughout the healing process. However, Rachel’s experience has been a positive one and she has been thrilled with how she has felt following her procedure.

A 50th birthday treat to herself

For Rachel, the decision came at an exciting point in her life.

Having turned 50 last year, she decided it was time to invest in herself and do something she had been considering, marking the beginning of a new decade feeling confident, refreshed and ready for whatever comes next.

From the initial consultation with Professor Raghavan through to her recovery, Rachel has been able to document her journey and share an honest insight into her experience of undergoing a Preservation Facelift.

Rachel says “There’s so much curiosity around facelifts and what recovery actually looks like — the swelling, bruising, healing and all those little things you don’t necessarily see in a before-and-after photo. I want to document my own experience as openly and realistically as possible.”

Her story is a reminder that facial rejuvenation isn't about looking like someone else. For many people, it's about feeling like the best and most confident version of themselves at any age.
