Surgeon: Miss Chloe Wright
Introduction
My name is Zari, I use he/him pronouns, and I’m a trans guy from London.
How are you feeling post-surgery?
I feel amazing now that I’m 5 months post-op. I feel healed and ready to live my life.
How has recovery been for you?
Recovery has been a roller coaster of different experiences and emotions. The first month was the hardest, which is expected. After the 6-week mark, things started to get easier.
I began regaining my strength, was able to stand up straight, and move more comfortably. After 3 months, I started feeling like me again, but better. Now at 5 months post-op, I had top surgery just in time for summer and it has been the most euphoric summer ever.

What has been the most exciting experience after recovery?
So many things. Wearing t-shirts and vests, going outside in summer and actually enjoying the day, not feeling self-conscious around people, and feeling safe in public.
Being able to try on any clothes I want and use the men’s changing rooms in shops. Being topless on the beach and present in my body. Going to the gym and working out with better form. I can hug people tightly, wear whatever I choose, and go to the barber without a binder.
I can finally breathe.
There are still things I’m excited to try, like going abroad, learning to swim and joining dance classes and I look forward to those coming in time.

How has your experience been with Pall Mall Medical?
I would definitely recommend Pall Mall Medical and I already have been recommending them to anyone and everyone.
From the initial consultation to now, my journey has been smooth, compassionate, and supportive. Mamuna, Chloe and Kate have all been attentive, caring, professional, kind, understanding and respectful.
All consultations were thorough, and all my questions were answered. During recovery, I had nursing support available, could send Chloe images for review and advice and was offered additional appointments when needed.
Why did you choose your surgeon and what research did you do?
While researching and comparing surgeons, I found Chloe to be highly experienced in top surgery with extensive knowledge and expertise. I was also really drawn to her advocacy and fundraising work.
I liked that Chloe and Kate conduct the surgery together, and that the whole team understood this wasn’t just a procedure — it was something deeply meaningful and personal.
From the beginning, I felt I could trust them. I knew I would be supported throughout the entire process, and even now at 5 months post-op, that support continues.
It was also important to me that they actively care about and support the queer and trans community. The community Facebook group was incredibly helpful — I was able to connect with others, ask questions, and receive advice from people who had already gone through the procedure.
Pall Mall feels like a community built on care, and throughout my journey, it felt like family.
Final thoughts
Anyone considering top surgery and looking for compassionate, high-quality care should seriously consider Pall Mall Medical.
