Breast Enlargement Insights with Mr Hussain

Mr Amer Hussain explains the motivations behind breast augmentation, what the procedure involves, and how a personalised approach can help achieve natural-looking, balanced results that feel right for each individual.

What is Breast Enlargement?

Breast Enlargement, also known as Breast Augmentation or a ‘boob job’, is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the size, shape and fullness of the breasts using implants, or in some cases, fat transfer techniques.

“The goal of breast enlargement is not to create a one size fits all result. Every patient has different proportions, preferences and reasons for considering surgery. My role is to achieve balanced, natural looking results that suit the individual and their goals.” says Mr Hussain

For women experiencing sagging or loss of firmness, a breast uplift (mastopexy) may be performed alone combined with augmentation to create a more lifted, balanced and natural looking shape.

Common reasons for considering breast enlargement

There are many reasons patients choose to explore breast enlargement, including:

  • Naturally smaller breast size

  • Loss of volume after pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Changes following weight loss

  • Breast asymmetry

  • Age-related changes in fullness or shape

  • A desire to feel more comfortable and at ease in clothing or swimwear

“For many women, it’s not about wanting a dramatic change. It’s about feeling more comfortable in their own body.”

Common concerns before surgery

It’s completely normal to feel unsure before a consultation. Many women wonder:

“Consultations are an opportunity to ask questions openly and honestly. Patients should never feel rushed or pressured into surgery. A good consultation is about education, reassurance and helping someone make the right decision for themselves.” Mr Hussain explains

A personalised approach to Breast Enlargement

No two breast enlargements are the same. Mr Hussain tailors every procedure to the individual patient’s anatomy, lifestyle and desired outcome.

This includes careful consideration of:

Implant size and profile
Implant placement
Body proportions
Existing breast tissue
Lifestyle and activity levels

Procedure duration is typically 1 to 2 hours and is performed under general anaesthetic.

“My focus is always on proportion and harmony. The best Breast Enlargement results are the ones that enhance self-esteem while still feeling natural to the patient.”

Recovery and results

Recovery following breast enlargement is usually manageable, with most patients able to return to light daily activities within a few weeks.

Patients can typically expect:

  • Swelling and tightness during the first 1 to 2 weeks

  • A gradual return to exercise after several weeks, or once your surgeon advises

  • Ongoing implant settling over the following months, referred to as ‘drop and fluff

  • Follow-up appointments and aftercare support throughout recovery

Many women report improvements in:

  • Self-esteem

  • Clothing fit

  • Comfort in social and intimate settings

Choosing the right surgeon

Mr Hussain stresses the importance of choosing an experienced cosmetic surgeon and having realistic, well-informed expectations before surgery.

Patients should look for:

  • Specialist cosmetic surgery experience

  • A surgeon who listens carefully to their goals

  • Clear discussion of risks, benefits, and recovery

  • A focus on safe, proportionate, natural looking outcomes

“Trust and communication are incredibly important. Cosmetic surgery should always be a collaborative process between surgeon and patient.”

Taking the first step

If you have been considering breast enlargement but feel uncertain about whether it is right for you, Mr Hussain encourages patients to start with an open, pressure-free consultation.

“At Pall Mall, consultations are completely confidential, supportive and patient-led. Breast enlargement is ultimately about helping patients feel more comfortable and confident in themselves.”
